Safety & Trust Guidelines (સુરક્ષા અને વિશ્વાસ માટે માર્ગદર્શિકા)

We help buyers and sellers connect directly for property, vehicles, pets/livestock, PG/hostels, and ride sharing. Direct contact is powerful because it saves money, but it also means every user should follow smart safety practices. This page explains how to stay safe while buying, selling, or renting. Whether you are in Ahmedabad, Surat, Vadodara, Rajkot, Mehsana, Anand, Jamnagar, Bhavnagar, or Kutch, these guidelines help you avoid fraud and keep each transaction transparent.

1) Core Safety Rules (દરેક કેટેગરી માટેના મુખ્ય નિયમો)

• Meet safely: Prefer public, well-lit places for meetings and inspections. If needed, take a friend/family member.
• No advance payments: Avoid deposits/advance payments before you physically verify the item or documents.
• Verify identity: Confirm the other person’s identity and cross-check details (name, phone number, ownership).
• Never share OTP/UPI PIN: Do not share OTP, UPI PIN, bank PIN, or card details with anyone.
• Stay calm: If someone pressures you, changes details repeatedly, or refuses verification—stop the deal.

2) Property Safety (પ્રોપર્ટી માટે સુરક્ષા)

For property buying, selling, or renting, document verification is the most important step. Always confirm ownership and match property details with what you see on-site. If the listing claims “urgent sale” or the price feels too low compared to similar properties, do extra checks. For rentals, clarify rent, deposit, maintenance, and utility charges in writing before you pay anything.

• Check ownership proof and ensure the seller has the authority to sell or rent.
• Visit the site to verify location, boundaries, and nearby landmarks.
• Ask: What is included (parking, furniture, utilities)? Any pending dues?
• Do not sign documents you don’t understand—take time and consult someone trusted if needed.

3) Vehicles Safety (વાહન માટે સુરક્ષા)

For used cars or bikes, confirm the vehicle’s documents and condition. Ask for RC details, insurance validity, and service history. Verify the chassis/engine number where applicable. Meet during the daytime and take a short test drive in a safe area. If someone refuses document checks or pushes for immediate payment, treat it as a red flag.

• Check RC, insurance, pollution certificate (if applicable), and service records.
• Inspect tires, brakes, lights, and basic engine performance; take a test drive.
• Agree on payment only after verification and clarity on ownership transfer.

4) Pets & Livestock Safety (પાલતુ પ્રાણી/પશુ માટે સુરક્ષા)

When buying pets or livestock (cows, buffaloes, etc.), prioritize health and transparency. Ask for vaccination or medical records when available, inspect the animal in person, and confirm care requirements. Avoid deals that happen “only online” without inspection. Responsible ownership starts with responsible buying—choose honest sellers and verify details calmly.

• Avoid paying before you see the animal and confirm details.

5) Ride Sharing Safety (રાઈડ શેરિંગ માટે સુરક્ષા)

For rides, confirm pickup/drop points, timing, and cost before traveling. Share your trip details with someone you trust. Prefer meeting at known public locations (bus stands, main junctions, landmarks). If the plan changes suddenly or someone asks for sensitive information, cancel the trip.

• Confirm route, time, pickup/drop location, and total cost clearly.

• Never share OTP/UPI PIN; pay only as agreed after confirmation.

6) PG/Hostel Safety (PG/હોસ્ટેલ માટે સુરક્ષા)

For PG/hostel listings, visit the place before paying. Confirm rules, amenities, and security arrangements. Ask about electricity/water charges, food availability, curfew rules, and the deposit refund policy. Take photos during your visit and keep written confirmation of the final terms.

7) Fraud & Scam Red Flags (ફ્રોડના સંકેતો)

• Price is unrealistically low compared to similar listings.
• Seller refuses meeting/inspection and insists on advance payment.
• Asks for OTP, UPI PIN, card info, or “verification code” for any reason.
• Uses pressure tactics: “Pay now or I’ll sell to someone else.”
• Blurry/fake photos, avoids video call, or changes details frequently.

8) Reporting & Clean Marketplace (રિપોર્ટિંગ અને ક્લિન પ્લેટફોર્મ)

A trustworthy marketplace stays clean when users report suspicious activity quickly. VLX encourages the community to report fake listings, misleading prices, inappropriate content, or suspicious behavior. If you see spammy ads, report them so the team can review and take action. Clean, moderated content improves trust and long-term quality for everyone.
